In the early 1980's, Steven Taback became a client of David Sandler. Already committed to a career in sales for the past ten years, Steve had already developed a successful track record with experience both in the large corporate world as well as the small business arena. It was Sandler's systematic approach to selling that took success to a different height. In three years of learning and implementing the behaviors, attitudes, strategies and techniques available from Sandler, this client increased sales four times over.

Thus in 1985, Sandler Training/TEM was founded as the result of developing a passion for working with salespeople, sales managers, executives and business owners who were just as committed to developing their human relations skills to the level of becoming a true professional.

In 1990, Mark Berezow, a Sandler trainer with a successful sales history of his own and having received honors for outstanding achievement in his first year in business with Sandler, merged his training business with Sandler Training/TEM. The following year, at an awards banquet, David Sandler was quoted as saying, "Steve and Mark have the ability to transform their years in sales, sales management and training into becoming the No.1 sales training team in our nationwide network."
